The Heart Behind Rebel Style:
Reclaiming My Identity, Power, and Voice - From the Inside Out
For years, I believed success meant looking and acting the 'part'. I believed confidence came from blending in just enough to be accepted, while standing out just enough to be noticed - but never too much. And like so many women, I thought the answers lived outside of me… in approval, in applause, in what others expected of me.
Then breast cancer happened.
It actually started way before that and there were cracks in that logic, yet cancer has a way of accelerating everything. And when your body changes… when the reflection in the mirror feels foreign… when your hair, your energy, your identity is stripped away… You’re forced to ask yourself: Who am I — when there’s no mask, no performance, no pretense?
And something cracked wide open in me.
The truth? I had spent years shapeshifting — chasing success by following the “rules,” looking externally for validation, and trying to earn my place at the table by being who I thought I should be. Saying all the right things. Checking all the boxes.
It wasn't until I literally hit rock bottom in body, mind & spirit, and committed to do the REAL inner work, that I started to burn that version down 🔥
Cancer and everything in the years that followed, didn’t just challenge my body; it completely unraveled the way I had been thinking and living. And in the rebuilding, I realized: ✨ The answers I had been searching for were never outside of me. ✨ Identity doesn’t come from what others see - it comes from what you claim within yourself. ✨ Authentic power begins when you let go of external validation and root yourself in your own truth.
This is where Rebel Style was born.
Not as a surface-level style makeover. Not as a way to “look the part” for anyone else or 'follow the rules' or 'live by someone's set of expectations'. But as a personal rebellion.
A rebellion against external validation. A rebellion against expectations that suffocate identity. A rebellion against the outdated, harmful belief that a woman’s worth comes from how well she can perform or please.
Rebel Style is about re-learning who you are… ✧ Reprogramming your thoughts to align with your true value and power. ✧ Expressing your identity from the inside out. ✧ Leading from self-trust, not from fear of being misunderstood.
I’ve walked this journey. I’ve done and am still doing the work - physically, mentally, emotionally and subconsciously - to reclaim my voice, my identity, my presence. And Rebel Style is all about helping women do the same: to stop looking outward for approval and start looking inward for truth.
In September, Rebel Style will officially launch - a movement for professional midlife women who are done performing and ready to lead, live, and dress from radical self-expression.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve outgrown the version of yourself that played small, blended in, or lived by someone else’s definition of success… you are not alone.
Rebel Style is your permission slip to: ✔️ Take up space. ✔️ Stand in your power. ✔️ Dress, speak, and live in alignment with the most authentic version of you.
This is personal. This is professional. This is freedom.
I’d love to hear - what parts of your identity are you reclaiming right now?
